Dan was a guest of Destination Marathons in Berlin in 2022 and became enthusiastic about our mission. He’s not shy and other guests became instant Dan-O fans! He served our country well for 24+ years in the US Air Force, attaining the rank of Colonel before retiring in 2013. He has spent the last decade helping our nation’s veterans transition into civilian life. Dan has finished over 100 marathons and ultramarathons, and also competes in triathlons. He is a USATF Certified Coach who has been helping runners surpass their goals while “keeping the fun in the run” for the past 20 years. Dan helps build our post race excursions and long range event planning.
